Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose Announced for WWE WrestleMania 32

Posted by BAD MAN

Neither Brock Lesnar nor Dean Ambrose will be in the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at the Wrestlemania 32, but they'll both get a chance to settle their rivalry in a No Holds Barred street fight at AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3.

Lesnar attacked Ambrose before Monday night Raw began, and as a result of that Ambrose left the arena on a stretcher. Ambrose returned to Raw during Lesnar's in-ring promo and proposed the match to the former WWE champion. After hitting Ambrose with an F5, Lesnar accepted the challenge.

The Rivalry between ambrose and lesnar has intensified since Jan. 25, when the Triple Threat match that took place on Sunday at Fastlane was announced by The Authority on Raw.

On Feb. 1 edition of Raw, during the buildup of the three-way match that included new No. 1 contender Roman Reigns, Ambrose told Lesnar he was crazy but that "he's not scared" of the man who main-evented WrestleMania last year.

There is also the matter of the former Intercontinental champion taking Lesnar out of Sunday's Triple Threat match with a chair, showing small glimpses of what he could do in a match in front of nearly 100,000 people.

That’s the reason why Bray Wyatt never got involved in the Fastlane main event, as WWE made the decision to pull the proposed Wyatt Lesnar feud.

It is a good booking, far more interesting than the Wyatt Lesnar feud, but it does look like Ambrose will be losing yet another major match. They could always go the other way, have Ambrose as a heel who defeats Lesnar and then goes on to a feud with Reigns, but that undermines Lesnar’s status. There’d be bigger money if Brock defeated Ambrose and then went on to challenge Reigns in a rematch of their WrestleMania 31 bout. But really, either Lesnar or Ambrose losing right now isn’t ideal.

Still, the action on April 3 should be very good. It will be a fun match, with both men being very good workers. You could see in the Ambrose Lesnar exchanges at Fastlane that they have very good chemistry, and their narrative has been building nicely on Raw in the last few weeks.

Also, the buildup has the chance to be just as great with Ambrose and Paul Heyman handling work on the microphone. If Shane McMahon and Undertaker weren't announced earlier in the night, this would be the potential show-stealing match.
